Clinical Assessment

The specialist will examine your ear using an otoscope to confirm the presence of wax and assess the health of your ear canal & ear drum.

Blockage Removal

Using a method called microsuction your clinician will remove any blockages in a safe manner using a suction probe which is connected to medical suction unit specifically adapted for ear wax removal.

Post Removal Guidance 
& Hearing Check

Once all blockages have been removed a final inspection ensures complete clearance. Your clinician will provide expert advice on aftercare and ear hygiene to prevent future build-up.

All About Ear Wax Microsuction & Syringing

Microsuction is our go to method for ear wax removal. It's generally considered safer than syringing due to no water being involved, providing extra protection of the ear drum.

Our qualified specialists use magnification equipment to look inside your ears, whilst using a small suction probe to safely remove blocked earwax.

Sometimes it is considered more effective to use water syringing to remove an ear wax blockage. This is generally when the ear wax blockage is very soft or sticky. A low pressure manual water syringe is used to flush any wax out of the ear canal with a basin place under the ear to collect any debris.
